We still don’t know which sweet treat the 8th rendition of Android is, but Android based Nokias (as in, the latest Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3) will be getting the Android O update.
According to TechRadar, HMD Global has confirmed that “the smartphones will get the Android O update once the new release is available from Google for their OEM partners, the same way HMD Global is committed to the monthly Android security updates”.
Android O is already available in beta after it has been announced in Google I/O conference. The OS itself is slated for release around Q3 this year, putting it at September/October 2017 – although most smartphones that are not Pixel or Nexus probably won’t get it until further on.
