They might as well have said “My dog ate my homework.”
It’s no secret that Fox News is pretty much every Republicans favourite mainstream TV network in America. Forget about Donald Trump’s recent run ins and public criticism of the network, Fox News is still very much a conservative network and you’d only need to tune in to one of the networks opinion host’s shows to know this.
That being said, the network ran a report on the recent arrest of Jeffrey Epstein’s ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell last weekend and used a photo of what seemed like Melania Knauss, Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell, which sounds pretty harmless right? Except it turns out that Donald Trump was in the picture too and they cropped him out.
Of course, Fox News had to address this and they did so in splendid fashion. Fox News on Monday said it “mistakenly” edited President Donald Trump out of the photo. How does one mistakenly edit probably the most famous world leader out of a photo? I mean Trump is not only pretty damn recognisable, but he literally has his arms around Melania in the original photo.

In it’s official statement released on Monday, a spokesperson from Fox News said, “On Sunday, July 5, a report on Ghislaine Maxwell during FOX News Channel’s America’s News HQ mistakenly eliminated President Donald Trump from a photo alongside then Melania Knauss, Jeffrey Epstein and Maxwell. We regret the error.”
I think the worst part of all this is the insult on the intelligence of its viewers by coming up with a response like that. The network either knows very well or has absolutely no idea about the kind of people that tune in to the channel.
All that being said, people are saying that Maxwell’s arrest is bound to have Trump a little nervous given how close he was to Jeffrey Epstein at one point. Many have accused the president of having known what went on but with little or no proof to substantiate the claims, they remain accusations.
