Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is launching on January 30th and Square Enix has revealed local details for Singapore and Malaysia.

Producer Hazama Ichiro and Director Kujiraoka Takeo shared details about the game in conjunction with the launch of the Final Fantasy cafe in Singapore. Featuring 28 initial characters, Dissidia Final Fantasy will feature both heroes and villains as playable characters, in a 3v3 group battle. Made exclusively for PS4, players can choose to play as any of the characters split into four different classes: assassins, vanguards, marksmen and specialists.

Available for play online for the 3v3 battle arena, as well as a 1 on 1 battle with AI in the offline mode, Dissidia FF NT will feature characters and stages previously on the FF franchise from the original FF to the latest character from FF XV, Noctis Lucis Caelum. Teams can also perform summons in game, where the summoned character fights alongside your three man team. The game will also feature music from the original games, as well as newer arrangements inspired by the original FF franchise.

Beyond just a battle arena, the game play also includes cut-scenes that can be unlocked through different stages of fights. These cut scenes add to the storyline of the Dissidia universe. There is also boss fights where users have to fight the boss summoned to unlock more nodes in the game, along with 2 teammates controlled by the AI.

Although starting with an initial list of 28 characters, Hazama and Kujiraoka said that there will be DLCs released with more characters and content added. Kujiraoka has hinted that the release includes characters from later FF releases that has not debuted in Dissidia yet.

Dissidia FF NT will launch on 30th January, retailed at S$84.90/RM269 for the standard edition, and S$319/RM959 for the ultimate box. The ultimate box will include season passes for 6 characters when they are announced starting March 2018.

In conjunction with the launch, Square Enix shared that Final Fantasy XIV Online will be available for pre-order now, with the release date set for 27th February. No further details has been announced.
