Key MDec Personals Conferred Honour Awards For Contribution In Penang

We are extremely pleased to hear this, as one of the conferred member was a guest of honor at our PC.com awards night a few years back, the Multimedia Development Corporation has released a statement announcing the conferment of the Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (D.S.P.N) award, which carries the title Dato’, to Ng Wan Peng, its Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Darjah Johan Negeri (D.J.N) award to Michael Warren, its Vice President of Global Business Services.

The Honour Awards were presented by Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Hj.  Abdul Rahman Abbas, Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang at an investiture ceremony held recently in Penang. This conferment of the high distinctions signifies recognition for both Dato’ Wan Peng’s & Michael Warren’s continuous efforts to buttress digital economy in the northern state.

Dato’ Ng Wan Peng has been with MDeC for over 17 years and has been a key contributor to the success of MDeC in driving ICT initiatives since the early days of MSC Malaysia. Since its inception in 1996, there are now over 3,600 world-class companies, with cumulative revenues of RM275 billion, RM88.6 billion in exports, RM206 billion in investments and the creation of over 147,000 highly skilled jobs.

Michael Warren joined MDeC in April 2012 and has been instrumental in attracting foreign direct investments and jobs into MSC Malaysia’s Global Business Services cluster.
