I’m not sure if even domestic travels are safe now but at least there’s an option for you to do so in the future when the Covid-19 cases decreases, or better yet, disappear.

So anyways, once domestic travels are safe enough, we’re all getting a special treat from AirAsia. The airline recently revealed that they will be giving away RM50 e-vouchers to 24,000 domestic travellers very soon! How can we redeem these vouchers? You can do so on their official website once they officially announce the availability.

This decision is in conjunction with the Cuti-Cuti Malaysia campaign organised by Tourism Malaysia, under the recently introduced Stimulus Recovery Plan by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC). Well, when you can’t travel abroad, explore the wonders of our home country. There’s hidden gems in the country waiting to be discovered.

According to the ministry, the objective of the campaign is to revitalise the national economy through domestic tourism, which now allows Malaysians to travel within the country’s designated green zones. In addition, multiple agencies and industry players, including AirAsia, will also be supported and actively engaged in the plan.

“MOTAC welcomes the government’s decision to allow domestic travel bubble between green zones in Malaysia. We hope that the rakyat will use the opportunity to travel responsibly and always adhere to the SOPs and the new norms while traveling,” said MOTAC minister Hajah Nancy Shukri.

AirAsia has yet to announce when its customers will be made available with the Cuti-Cuti Malaysia RM50 e-vouchers, but promises that distribution will start soon. The airline urged eager travellers to stay tuned for the latest updates to its Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
