Is This Evidence Of A GTA VI Reveal Coming On 26th March? Maybe. Hopefully. PLEASE

Grand Theft Auto, one of Rockstar’s most famed franchises take centre stage with new rumours pointing to an announcement on their next title; GTA VI. This past week we’ve heard several rumours of an announcement from Rocktar to reveal GTA VI, on March 25th (26th March in Malaysia). Those weren’t very reliable though, so we didn’t think much of it.

But now there’s something that adds a little weight to the rumours. According to Respawn First, the Grand Theft Auto VI domain was updated on March 23rd, and no longer directs to the Rockstar Games website. This is similar to what happened with GTA 5, back when it was announced in 2013.

As of now, if you visit gtav.com, gtavii.com or gtaviii.com, it will redirect you to the official Rockstar Games website. Before this, gtavi.com was doing the same, and redirecting back to Rockstar. This might mean that they’re working on the site, updating it, and wasn’t ready to show it off. It’s what it could mean, but we don’t have much other evidence to support the claim.

There’s also the fact that the domain’s nameservers were previously pointing to Munich, Germany. This stood out as the rest of Rockstar domains usually point to the same server in New York. Now, the GTA VI domain is pointing to the server in New York, which also adds some more affirmation to the rumours. They might be ready to show it off, as it coincides with the previous 25th March announcement rumour.

Or maybe this is all wrong and a bunch of coincidences with forces we would never understand. But if it’s not, we’re getting a look at GTA VI, which is also very good news.  But probably not, probably.

Comment what you think!
