Canon, announced recently of its expansion of two new large format momentum with four New Media for the Fine Art and Production Markets.
The new imagePROGRAF PRO-2000 and imagePROGRAF PRO-4000 are designed to bring stunning image quality to professional photographers and fine art applications, while the new imagePROGRAF PRO-4000S and imagePROGRAF PRO-6000S deliver fast and reliable printing to high-volume print service providers that require photo quality prints such as posters, banners and canvas.
Using 12-colours the PRO-2000 and PRO-4000 gives full clarity and texture of photographs taken with a good DSLR camera which can be perfectly reproduced. Thanks to Canon’s unique input-output technology and Crystal-fidelity feature, photos look as accurate printed as when they were captured. Available in two sizes (24” and 44”) the printers feature black design with an accentuated red line, mimicking a certain camera the company produces. The new printers use newly developed LUCIA PRO pigment ink to meet the demands of the most critical photographers and graphic artists, as well as transparent Chroma Optimiser ink to improve print performance on gloss paper.
Media
The Photo Paper Pro Platinum, Photo Paper Pro Luster, and Photo Paper Pro Premium Matte media, previously available in cut sheet for the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 printer users, are now available in 100-foot rolls for those images that were meant to be printed in large format. The first of its kind to be added to the imagePROGRAF media lineup, the Water Resistant Matte Polypropylene paper expands the applications available for imagePROGRAF large format printers.
Providing photographers with an outstanding medium for their images, the Photo Paper ProPlatinum, Photo Paper Pro Luster and Pro Premium Matte media are now available in widths of 17, 24, 36 and 42-inch rolls. This photo paper also dries quickly for easy handling. The Photo Paper Pro Premium Matte (210gsm) offers professionals and skilled amateurs a media with smooth surface quality for outstanding color performance. Great for printing black-and-white photography, this paper provides a natural whiteness, thickness and smooth texture while also offering superb gradations.
With this newly developed, Water Resistant Matte Polypropylene media, posters can now be displayed outdoors for up to six months without lamination.

The printers are now open for orders and will be shipped out mid June 2016.
