Vivo Malaysia has teased Malaysians today by posting a visual featuring the letter “S” on their official Facebook page, hinting that the new S series of smartphones will be coming to Malaysia.

Months since Vivo officially launched a new smartphone model in Malaysia, Vivo’s posting asks fans to #UnlockYourStyle with a fingerprint design that gives clues at an In-Display Fingerprint sensor.

Based on the S series smartphone which launched in China recently, the S series coming to Malaysia soon might be S1 or S1 Pro. However, due to Vivo’s diverse strategies for different markets, the Malaysian version might have different specifications compared with the one launched in China.

All things considered, it’s been a while since we’ve heard of a new smartphone release from Vivo and any smartphone launched would be a welcome addition, given that the company is known for giving customers the most bang for their buck. If anything, all Vivo need to work on is revamping their Android skin, as the Funtouch OS still looks like an iOS knock off. I mean, if you’re into that then great, but it’s just not doing it for me.
