RIM announced the new Bold 9790 and Curve 9380 models, available early December 2011. Nick Horton, Vice President, Indochina at RIM said the phones offer impressively slim and stylish designs with enhanced communications, multimedia, productivity and social connectivity features.

Blackberry Bold 9790 with Touch Display and Keyboard

The Bold 9790 combines a high resolution and highly responsive touch display with a tactile keyboard and optical trackpad, all in a narrow 11.4mm body.

With the Blackberry 7 OS and powerful 1GHz processor, the Bold 9790 delivers fast and smooth performance for pretty much anything you can throw at it – browsing the web, running apps and games, working with documents and enjoying multimedia such as videos and music. It has 8GB onboard memory and a microSD card slot which supports up to 32GB additional storage.

All-Touch Blackberry Curve 9380

The Curve 9380 is the first ever Blackberry Curve smartphone with a touch display. It delivers the powerful social experiences, ease of use and compact design that distinguish the Blackberry Curve family, all with a highly responsive 3.2″ touchscreen display. Multiple social networking apps are preinstalled into the Curve 9380 so users need not have to download it themselves, including the all-famous Blackberry Messenger (BBM), Facebook, Twitter and Social Feeds apps.

As for the camera, the phone comes with a 5MP flash-enabled camera, with auto-focus and VGA recording up to 640x480px.

New Blackberry 7 OS

Both phones are powered by the new Blackberry 7 OS which delivers a faster and richer user experience with improved browsing, voice-activated searches and support for Augmented Reality and NFC (Near Field Communications). It also includes the ability to manage personal content separately from corporate content, and comes with a variety of personal and productivity apps right out of the box.
