The mid to lower range smartphone segment is teeming with Chinese brands giving consumers near unlimited options to chose from, be it for their aesthetics, camera features or battery power there is something for everyone. But as many would have noticed the phones in these brackets often do not have the appeal of that of a premium model, they tend to lack class and quality and at most times look as though they are a galaxy apart from their upper counterpart. However, all’s not lost there is one brand that prides itself in ensuring consumers get the best in both aspects of class and quality when its comes to their smartphones, and its not from China.
Samsung the maker of high end Android phones has just made available the Galaxy A70, the latest addition to the A series of devices that cater to the austerity driven market who would want their hard money stretched to give the best value in return. The phone does look superior on the onset, with beautiful curved edges and an all screen Infinity display that stands at 6.7″ where some would even mistake it for a Galaxy S or an iPhone X. Tired of shopping around, no more confusion with whether its for the camera or battery you’re looking for in a smartphone, as the A70 features both strong areas with a triple rear camera and a powerful battery.
Never miss a shot with the triple camera says Samsung (a surprise addition for a sub 2k device like this) the unit comes with a 32MP high-resolution front and rear lens and has depth lens to adjust the depth of field and focus, and combines with the 8MP Ultra Wide Lens giving the same same viewing angle as the human eye. The Galaxy A70 also comes with a powerful 4,500 mAH battery and a Super-Fast Charging capacity at 25W.
So, it looks like Samsung is not just going to sit on its throne and attend to the high end models that yield higher profits, the sleeping giant is awaken is now readying to trample on the smaller subjects of Oppo, Xioami, Huawei Nova and Honor. At a price point of RM1,999 Samsung will be giving the latter brands a run for the money, as the A70 is a premium now made for the masses.
