A teaser post by Blackberry confirmed that the Blackberry KEY2 LE will be revealed during the upcoming IFA 2018 in Berlin, Germany. The new phone is based on the Blackberry KEY2, with key (sic) functions parred down for the general consumer.
From the short video post on Blackberry’s twitter account, the phone will have a textured back, presumably made from pleather or vinyl. Blackberry cleverly hid the camera in the video, but other sources are sharing some conflicting news – one source says the KEY2 LE will have a single 13MP camera, while another says it will have a dual camera module with 13MP + 5MP sensors at the back.

The front will have the same design as the KEY2 as Blackberry will be reusing the QWERTY keyboard. Other rumoured features include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. There is a fingerprint scanner, but Blackberry have cleverly embedded it into the spacebar of the QWERTY keyboard.
Lastly, the phone will have a 4.5-inch display with 1080 x 1620 pixels, and a 3,000 mAh battery to power the device. While the battery may be small, but the lower tier processor also sips power, so it should be able to last longer through the day.
IFA 2018 is just around the corner, so stay tuned for more information on the Blackberry KEY2 LE.
