Sony Malaysia has introduced two new TV models into the local market, the BRAVIA X8000C and BRAVIA S8500C 4K Ultra HD TV. While the latter comes in 55 and 65 inch featuring a curved display the X8000C is available in 49 and 55 inch in flat option.

The models runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating software which means a plethora of functions is standard like Google Cast, Google Apps for games and entertainment are bundled in, just like any other Android TV’s. In the core of the BRAVIA is its powerful 4K Processor X1 chip, which gives that vibrant colour contrast by re-mastering content in 4K Ultra HD resolution whereby 4K X-Reality PRO technology up-scales regular content and showcases them in 4K quality. Sony’s trademark TRILUMINOS Display further enhances  viewing experience by producing a wider palette of colour bringing realism in movies and videos.

Sound system on both the displays are just okay! with DSEE technology (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) low quality audio files are restored and even upscaled to near high-res quality, poorly recorded sounds on movies can be better, on the S8500C 4K Curve however the audio system is slightly better with S Force Front Surround Sound speakers giving a 360 degree immersive experience.

The new model 4K Ultra HD TV’s from Sony will be available in Malaysia from October 2015 onwards. (Price to be advised upon request)
