GizmoChina has reported that OnePlus CEO, Carl Pei, has confirmed in September that the company is releasing two new phones this year. OnePlus has already revealed one of the new devices and you can now buy OnePlus 2 from Maxis with Maxis Zerolution at RM104 per month or with MaxisONE plan starting from RM999. Alternatively, you can buy the phone at retail price of RM1,687 from Maxis without being tied to any contract.
The news outlet also managed to find out the actual name of the upcoming second smartphone called OnePlus X. The renders it obtained shows a promising, premium-looking design with dual cameras on the back and a fingerprint sensor, both of which are already featured on the OnePlus 2.
What is known for certain is that the X-version of the flagship killer will look nothing like the OnePlus 2. And to cut down the cost and price, which really is what fans love about the OnePlus phones, the tech company seems to be planning to use this year-old Snapdragon 801 chipset on the yet-to-be revealed smartphone.
The release date and price for the device have also been leaked and the news site assures its readers that it has very credible sources. So hopefully we will see a sleeker, premium OnePlus X with a 5-inch display retailed at US$250 before October ends.
