Mobile Operators Sweeten Galaxy S7 edge Deals With Rebates

With over 3000 units sold before launch, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is recording super sales numbers from the likes of it. After witnessing the fan turn out for the KLCC grand introduction of the flagship device, all skepticism is out of the window if sales will surpass the earlier rendition. Having briefly encountered the handsome phone our self, we could attest the S7 edge is an absolute peach, coming in at an all encompassing 5.5 inch real estate, aesthetically curved side edges, well balanced weight on the palm, the smartphone would be Samsungs best Galaxy series thus far, thumping its own S6 and Apples iPhone 6S.

You will be able to read our full hands on review very soon, we’ve gotten the test unit and its awaiting a full assault that we are confident will pass with flying colours. In the meantime we would like to look at the various deals being offered by network operators for the flagship. As promotional materials have already shown, there are free units of Gear VR offered to the first 2000 buyers during the road show. Maxis gave away Gear S2 smartwatch to customers who preordered, and is now giving RM200 rebate for those who purchase the device on Zerolution. The plan goes as low as RM114 per month not including RM30 for the annual upgrade program and another RM23 for the protection insurance.

As for Digi, there will be a roadshow at MidValley from 21 to 27 March with chances to win goodies worth RM318 in conjunction with the launch. Customers who purchase the new Samsung device will enjoy additional RM200 discount at Digi Android Hub Stores on 18 March. Do take note,  this offer is limited to first 50 customers per store. Digi is also giving away free Samsung Gear VR headsets to customers when they sign up for a Digi Postpaid 238 plan, while the stocks last.

After giving away 50 units S7 edge to a whole load of lucky winners before the official release, Celcom has now mobile plans for First Gold, First Blue and those who take up the NewPhone package, with commitment of RM45 for 2 years the device is yours for RM2448 on the Blue plan, pay RM80 for 12 months and walk away with the S7 after coughing out RM2689 on the Gold plan. Celcom’s NewPhone deal offers option of RM145 or RM175 with Gold or Blue plan offerings as per subscribed.

U Mobile creates no disruption here, standard offers of a Gear VR Lite for first 100 and free device protection, when you sign up for the Ultimate Device 135 plan and land yourself the phone by paying upfront RM1799, quite steep as fas as we are concerned on the total cost of ownership compared to the rest.
