Mobile projectors are an interesting device to say the least; when I was unboxing this little guy, it totally impressed me with its overall solid build of high-quality plastic body. I can even bring it with me on the road wherever I go, making it a great ally when it comes to impressing clients and friends.
View Without Limit
The first device I tested out the M115HD was with the Playstation 4, just to see if it is as versatile as some say it is. Lo and behold, the quality of the projection was simply amazing. What swept me off my feet was the brightness of the projector paired with the HD quality picture, thus allowing me to game with my friends in top-quality picture goodness. There weren’t even any frame rate drops with graphic-heavy games like Overwatch and The Division. This made it so much easier for me to s cope and snipe out my enemies without missing a beat.
Side Gears
If you ever wanted to watch movies through the projector, you could simply insert a microSD card in to the side slot as the M115HD comes with its very own built-in speaker. Although not great, the speakers worked well enough and be sure to keep your file formats away from .mkv and .wmv to ensure you do not encounter any problems in the future. I was unfortunate enough to go through that but luckily I had plenty of other movies to watch. Another notable problem is the built-in stands that props up the M115HD. It allows for very limited adjustment while also being extremely lightweight; not something you want to look for in a portable projector.
I Need To Be On The Go
Although lightweight, the M115HD is nowhere near being portable enough. One of the main ingredients missing from this almost-perfect projector was built-in battery pack to have extra flexibility. Another issue that could be a problem for certain people is the limited connectivity with other devices. Although it works fine through a normal Wi-Fi router, the M115HD doesn’t allow itself to pair with a Wi-Fi dongle. What could help it improve is introducing built-in Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth capability, making it even more versatile than it already is.
Pack it Up
When it’s all said and done, I still think this projector is pretty great in terms of quality, performance and size. With most projectors suited for indoor usage due to problems with lighting exposure as well as requiring a smooth surface to get the most out of it, the M115HD was made to be projected at just about anywhere.
