Microsoft is set to launch a new Surface product in the next few days, and early news points to the professional tablet, Microsoft Surface Pro 6, to be priced the same as last year’s model at launch. It will have some design change, but overall similar look to 2017’s model.
Tipster @rquandt says that according to sources, the 2-in-1 tablet will be released at the same price of around USD799 or about RM3,300 when it is launched this October 2nd. Of course under the magnesium-alloy skin we will see new hardware, most likely Intel’s 8th Gen Core processors in i5 and i7 flavours. Multiple colours are bandied about, but apparently Black is only heading to the i7 model, not the i5.
We can also expect the Surface Laptop 2 to be announced alongside, at the same prices as well. This might be a refresh as the Surface Laptop 2 was launched in June 2017, so here is enough time to warrant a hardware refresh, but we may see a redesign only in 2019.
Information on Microsoft’s tablet is scarce leading to the event, which is good for consumers who wants to be surprised. Stay tuned as we share more news on Microsoft’s Surface lineup of 2018 when it is announced soon.
