From the good people of the Pokemon Company, comes a summer epic like no other. Magikarp Jump brings you more Pokemon fun in iPhone and iPad.
Ok, we know. it’s Magikarp – a fish that is big and most people get annoyed at catching one too many of them in Pokemon Go. While normally seen as the rather useless Pokemon, the new game lets players raise a Magikarp; feeding and training their Magikarp to compete in various League “battles” to see whose Magikarp can jump the highest.
The game has been spotted on Apple App Store and Google Play Store, after a limited release in Italy and Japan earlier this week.
Players can only train one Magikarp at a time and will eventually lose their Magikarp due to either evolution, attacks by diving Pidgeotto, or other circumstances. However, players can quickly obtain a new “generation” of Magikarp that can be trained even faster and stronger than before.
While the floppy fish is the start for this game, other Pokemon will also make appearances. As players meet Pokemon like Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and Rowlet, they’ll stick around and help train your Magikarp. Players can also grow and decorate the Magikarp’s pool with decorations.
Pokemon: Magikarp Jump is free to play, although there are plenty of in app purchases.
