HP Made a Digital Assistant Speaker – But It Can’t Work on It’s Own

Microsoft revealed in their Build conference that HP was building a Cortana speaker – basically something like Google Home and Amazon Echo. The first images has been revealed in Computex and honestly it’s just one image.

According to the Verge, there is no actual hardware on display yet, but Microsoft demo-ed the “visual representation” of the device.

Note we said something like  Google Home and Amazon Echo. This device is not quite a standalone, rather it needs to be plugged to a Windows 10 PC. Looks like this is a companion product rather than an actual separate piece.

So far there are no release dates or pricing yet. Tom’s Harware reported that the other confirmed Cortana Speaker is Harman Kardon’s Invoke.
